Description of the job offer of Live-in Governess in Montreal, Quebec

We are recruiting for our client residing in Montreal, Quebec, a Governess to provide educational care for two enroled in school, aged 4 and 7 years old.
This is a full-time permanent position available in September 2023.
It is a live-in position.

Duties and responsibilities

• Daily care of the 2 girls after school
• Pick up the children from school
• Accompany them to extracurricular activities and various appointments
• Educational support for school-related tasks
• Reading and writing support
• Teaching good manners
• Tidying up the children's living spaces (A housekeeper is present on-site)
• Educational and fun games
• Interaction and intellectual stimulation
• Organizing educational activities (museum visits, etc.)
• Establishing routines (snack time, playtime, bath time, meals, and bedtime)
• Reporting to the parents

Profile requirement

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar private household position
• Availability and flexibility required
• Dynamic, autonomous, and good interpersonal skills
• Passionate about the job and working with children
• Fluent in French or English, or both
• Spanish language skills would be a plus
• Strong skills in educational support and development
• Willingness to travel with the family to vacation destinations (Caribbean in winter, United States, South of France in summer)
• EU passport
• Driver's license required

• Position: Live-in Governess​.
• Start date: September 2023.
• Location: Montreal, Quebec
• Live-in Full-time permanent position.
• Working Hours: 6:30 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 7:30 pm, Monday to Saturday
• Accommodation: ​45 m2 full furnished private room with private bathroom in the house​​​
  

Live-in Governess Salary

Net Salary: Starting from €4000 (5 800 CAD) per month, depending on the profile
