Holiday Governess Job offer and Vacancy
A fun and dynamic Holiday Governess is required for two school-age children (a 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl). The family will be on holiday in Ramatuelle (near Saint-Tropez), France from 15 June to 31 July (possibly until 10 August), and the candidate will be required for this period of time.
The Governess will be provided with a separate bedroom with own bathroom in the family house. The position is temporary, from 15 June to 31 July (possibly until 10 August) 2019.
Duties and responsibilities
- Speaking to the children in English only
- Organising various fun activities for the children (drawing, painting, swimming, dancing, board games, sport, etc.) in English
- Developing their creativity and imagination
- Accompanying children for walks and activities /events
- Making sure that the children enjoy themselves and always have something fun to do
- Communication with the parents
- NO sit-down lessons required
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position
- Native English speaker
- Knowledge of Italian will be a plus
- Preferably a degree in childcare, understanding children’s psychology
- Driving Licence will be a plus (but not necessary)
- Ability to motivate and encourage children to speak English
- A positive, active and charming person who is able to set boundaries, if necessary
