English Tutor Job offer and Vacancy
Two qualified and eager English Tutor /Governess’ are required for two school-age children (a 7-year-old and a 9-year-old). The children go to an International School n Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The children speak English & Arabic and require a tutor each to accompany them during each school day and during home work assignments.
The candidate will be provided with accommodation in the staff house. The position is long term.
Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching English to the children in a fun way
- Planning and conducting sit-down lessons for a few hours a day
- Speaking to the children in English only
- Organising varied activities for the children (drawing, painting, reading, sport, etc.) in English
- Developing their creativity and imagination
- Accompanying children for walks and activities /events
- Preparing children for the British education system
- Reading books with children
- Informing the parents about the children’s progress
Requirements
- Experience working in a similar position
- Fluent English speaker
- Knowledge of Italian will be a plus
- Preferably pedagogical education
- Understanding of the British curriculum
- Driving Licence will be a plus (but not necessary)
- Ability to motivate and encourage children to speak English, and conduct classes in a fun way
- A positive, active and charming person who is able to set boundaries and discipline children, if necessary
Schedule
5 days/week, 8 to 10 hours/day
