A professional young couple with a 4.5 year old son relocating from Brussel, Belgium to Johannesburg South Africa require the employment of a long term Nanny to ensure the wellbeing of their child, the child’s early childhood development and the child’s immediate environment.

- Extensive experience in similar position within a luxury private family residence
- High level of experience in nanny duties, domestic and cooking ability
- Flexible and able to accommodate principle and children's schedule
- Education orientated and highly skilled
- Qualification in Child Minding and Infant Care
- Qualification in First Aid
- Drivers License
- Fluent command of English and French in verbal and written communication
- Honest and Trustworthy individual with a pro-active mind set

Duties & Responsibilities
- Bathing and dressing child
- Organizing regular nutritious, balanced meals and snacks (child only)
- Washing & Ironing
- Taking to and collecting child from primary school and after-school activities
- Babysitting and child minding when required (after hours)
- Preparing and implementing a sleep and home learning routine
- Overseeing and encouraging healthy social development and interactions
- Teaching good manners and behavior
- Organizing stimulating activities during children's leisure time
- Informing parents on the children's progress and daily feedback
- Creativity, the ability to design fun and educational activities
- Patience and understanding
- Cleaning and tidying bedrooms, toys and game rooms
- Preparing and organizing for special occasions, such as birthdays, Christmas etc
- Establishing and maintaining good communication with parents at all times
- Understanding and respect for the family protocols, habits and way of life
- Geared towards general hygiene and cleaning standards set by family
- Planning cleaning schedule and tasks in different parts of the property
- Carrying out periodical deep cleans, as well as daily cleaning of the property
- Hoovering, sweeping, mopping and washing of floorboards, carpets, tiles and
rugs - Dusting and polishing delicate surfaces
- Laundry and Ironing
- Regular cleaning and changing of bed linen
- Ensuring upkeep of porcelain, crystal, gold and silverware
- Maintaining and inventory of cleaning products and materials
- Overseeing stock and supply operations in regards to cleaning products and
supplies - Potential dinner service duties during receptions and special occasions
- Geared towards general hygiene and cleaning standards set by family
Requirements
- 3 years' experience working as a Nanny / Housekeeper in a private residence
- Fluent English and French
- Driving License
- Written References a must.
- Dynamic, friendly yet professional person with kind and honest attributes who values the discretion required
- Qualifications in child minding
Extra information
- Schedule is flexible in accordance to the family needs (max 45 hour week)
- Salary based on experience and qualifications for the right candidate.
- Private room may be offered following trial period
