Job description
Lovely, very busy and constantly travelling family is looking to hire an experienced, dynamic, very flexible and mobile travelling nanny to take care of their 15 months old baby boy.
The Nanny will travel especially between Paris (France) and Los Angeles (USA). The ideal candidate is French native speaker and speaks fluently English and/or German.
This young and international family needs a trustworthy and experienced person they can also sometimes leave their child alone with while travelling. He/she has to organise and keep up the communication between the child and his parents during their absence.
Responsibilities
- Taking care of the child - sometimes 24 hours care required.
- Provide playful stimulation for this active and happy child.
- Taking care of the child’s everyday routine (baths, walks, playful activities, naps, etc.).
- Organising educational and playful indoor and outdoor activities.
- Liaising with parents.
- Food diversification.
- Preparing healthy and balanced meals for the child and develop his sense of taste.
- Keep the child’s room, the playroom, all child related equipments and toys clean and tidy at all times.
- Read stories to the child.
- Accompany the family on trips and holidays.
- Sleep in the same room as the child at night until he is able to sleep alone and especially when the parents are abroad.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience working with one- to two-year old children.
- Experience and skills in early childhood development.
- Willing and able to travel internationally.
- Longevity in previous positions.
- Trustworthy and discreet.
- Dynamic, gentle, playful and positive personality.
- Creative, happy and friendly person.
- Native French and fluent in German and/or English.
- Childcare qualification/diploma.
- Reliable references.
- First aid certificate.
- Criminal record certificate (DBS check).
- Highly organized, autonomous and able to take initiatives.
Work conditions
- Start date: September in Los Angeles, USA
- Contract type: Permanent/Full time
- Schedule: 40hrs/week, highly flexible especially when parents are abroad.
